Can you believe that we are a third of the way into the year!? We are doing pretty great here! Jason is still working nights in Roseville (I hope he goes to days soon), Jesse and Toby are plugging along at Antelope High, Mariah is loving Antelope Crossing Middle School and track, Marcika has been a busy girl at Olive Grove Elementary School, with choir and being a conflict manager. I am doing pretty good, labs are good, shaking is getting worse but that's okay, my mood is up and down, and I am shocked that it has been 1 year since the detection of the cancer and the surgery to remove it. Allergies are running rampant throughout the fam; can't seem to keep Kleenex in the house. Otherwise we are all good. [o:
I love April, and think it is such a beautiful month. Here in Antelope it has been a month of rain. I like to think of it as a month long shower washing all of the cooped up, stale feeling that winter often brings, leaving a clean, fresh, invigorating feel to the air. There have been some amazing first in the Lopez casa; from baseball to prom....you'll just have to read on ;0P

Mom came down for the baseball game and gave me a perm. I love it (can't really see it in the pics).

April 21st~ Ah Junior Prom, I cannot believe that it has come already. I asked Jesse (a couple of times...okay more like 10) if I could get some of the pictures that Ashley's parents take tonight...then I said "well actually can they just e-mail them to me?" He just gave me "the look" I gave him a hug and sweet Marcika says "Uh you are not going to go all Hippy and go," (squeezing her cheeks together) "ooh I gotta get your picture." He was accommodating and let me take a few before he gets light flashed to death by her parents (I am only going by what I can imagine myself doing when my girls go to the prom).
Almost ready to hit the road.

I caught him coming downstairs and must have startled him. What a look!
As Jason said, "He looks sharp."

April 20th~Marcika's school choir was asked to sing God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch on the actual field!!! This was really exciting (she's in the choir), then out of the blue Marcika and I were called into the Principles Office, he told us that she was selected to participate in the Field of Dreams....say what?? She got to run onto the field with the 1st base player of the Sacramento River Cats. Totally cool! Such an amazingly fun night.
Our beautiful niece Lexi is sick with RSV and had to be hospitalized. Mommy says that she still needs help breathing, but seems to be feeling better.
April 13th (Friday the 13th)
Marce had friends over for a "scary" movie night. They all had a great time.
To Marcikas surprise...I turned it into a Birthday Party, her friends knew, and kept it a secret (to my surprise). It was a blast.
April 4th
