April

WELCOME Spring!! I absolutely LOVE all of the beautiful flowers and bursting green fields that have seemed to appear over night.  Ah the warmer weather, the uplifting birds singing their cheery songs, and all of the cute baby animals, so much to lift ones heart and bring smiles to the face.  April has been an amazing month. MJ turned 11...whoot whoot! We had several fun trips, and were blessed to have the opportunity to hike and explore new and exciting places. Jesse has moved back home for the time being, it is really nice having all my babies home. The sale on our home in Antelope has finally been approved by the investors and it's final....it's SOLD!!!
Mariah has had her first solo babysitting job. She watched 4 kids, ages 5-10....so exciting!
Toby took his exit exams for high school a little while ago, we haven't gotten the results in the mail, however his school counselor said that his results were off the charts, she wants him to start taking college classes in the Fall (he's a Sophomore).
Jason is working really hard at work and has been tinkering on the Jeep in the evenings. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband how loves, cares, and supports me more than I could have thought possible.
On a serious note, I had an MRI to help discover what's going on with my liver....still no definite answers so I am now seeing Dr. Seavers who is an Oncologist. She is really nice and seems to genuinely care. Prior to my first appointment she reviewed my chart and made notes (this is a first for me, not having to explain everything during my first appointment). Dr. Seavers wants to order an iodine scan [I get to go on the fun diet that I have been on twice already, the one where I cannot eat salt or anything that might contain iodine (it is crazy how many things contain iodine)]. We will see what the insurance says first though (they are refusing to pay for the PET scan I had in December, don't want another battle on my hands if I can avoid it). Dr Seavers also wants to repeat the MRI in June to check to see if the liver lesion has grown and to make sure the the lung lesions haven't changed and that no more have developed. On a brighter note, she feels that it is not liver cancer or another form of GI cancer, she said that those have a distinct look on the MRI.
Mariah and her Jazz Band from O'Hara Park School played at Straw Hat Pizza for a couple of hours to raise money for Relay for Life. They did a great job, she even had a solo!
Jason and I went to Forest Hill, where we saw beautiful trees and flowers. We stumbled upon a registered gold mine which happened to be on a section of a river with crystal clear water. When we were finished exploring there we went to the Rubicon Trail, along the way we passed a pretty lake called Loon Lake. It was great spending time together, we don't get to do that all to often.
Jason said this looks almost like the moon. It is amazing how the earth changes in such a short distance near Pyramid Lake.
Sweet MJ!!! Awarded 2 medals one Language Arts and one Math.
WAY TO GO!!!!!
 Happy 11th Birthday sweet MJ!
The girls and I joined in the fun of Mormon Helping hands and clean up the Marsh Creek Trail here in Oakley. It was a lot of work, and loads of fun. Afterwards we had a picnic.
My split ends got so bad that I had to break down and get my hair cut. Jason said that it doesn't look that bad, Jesse said it looks okay from the back, Toby asked why did you do that, Mariah just laughed, Marcika said that I look like an old lady, and me...well all I can say is that I am glad that it will grow. ;o)

March

Spring has finally arrived! I love this beautiful weather, all of the sweet birds singing, the cool, flower scented breezes, and new life popping up every where.
March has been an extremely busy and fun month for us. We have spent a lot of time together, which makes me more than happy! Wonderful memories in the making!!
Easter came early this year. We were blessed to be able to spend it with family and friends. I am so thankful for the all of the sacrifices He made for me and wonderful example He is for me. I hope that you all had an amazing time rejoicing in the resurrection of our Savior.

Amazing performance at Temple Hill on Easter. Lamb of God 2013.
Jason took a picture of me taking a picture, I didn't know it and turned around to see what the light was.
